Itinerary
  • Day 1

    GUWAHATI – MANAS NATIONAL PARK

    On arrival at Guwahati, transfer to Manas National Park (174 kms/5 hours) – the most stunning and pristine wildlife habitat in India, comparable to the best in the world in beauty of its spectacular landscape, covering an area of 519 sqkms. Located at the foothills of the Eastern Himalaya, it derives its name from the river Manas that flows throughout the park from North to the South. This Brahmaputra Valley semi-evergreen forest and terrestrial eco-region is also the richest in species of all Indian wildlife and the only known home for the rare and endangered Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare, Golden Langur and Pygmy Hog. Evening at leisure.

  • Day 2

    MANAS NATIONAL PARK

    Early morning elephant ride into the forest and back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, walk into the village to see its people and their culture. Afternoon Jeep Safari through the Central range of the park to a place called Mathanguri just a few steps away from the Indo-Bhutan boundary. Mathanguri is one of the most beautiful points in the National Park. Journey back to the lodge. Overnight stay at Manas.

  • Day 3

    MANAS NATIONAL PARK – TEZPUR

    After breakfast drive to the romantic city of Tezpur (300 kms/06 hours) – the beautiful historical town of Tezpur is well known for its ancient temples and ruins. Evening visit to Chitralekha Uddyan. Overnight stay at Tezpur.

  • Day 4

    TEZPUR – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

    After breakfast visit Agni Ghar, Bamuni Pahar at Tezpur and then drive to Kaziranga National Park (81 kms/02 hours) – a World Heritage Site and Tiger reserve, it is home to more than 80% of the world’s population of the Great One Horned Rhinoceros. It has a significant population of Asian Elephant and Water Buffaloes living here and also has a wide variety of fauna and avifauna in a unique habitat of mainly grasslands, close tangled and thorny rattan cane, elephant grass and tall trees of evergreen forest and numerous water bodies. More than 400 species of birds both resident and migratory are found here. Afternoon Jeep safari in the Western range of the park. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

  • Day 5

    KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK – GUWAHATI

    Early morning elephant ride to the Central range of the park which is a great place for spotting water birds such as Falcate Teal, White-eyed Pochard, Grey headed Fishing Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle and Spot-billed Pelican. Bengal Florican can also be seen in this range. After breakfast, drive to Guwahati (230 kms/05 hours) - gateway to North East India. Situated on the south bank of the mighty Brahmaputra, the city is a principal centre of socio-cultural, political, industrial, trade and commerce of the entire region. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

    GUWAHATI AIRPORT

    After Breakfast, drive to Guwahati Airport for onward destination.
