TRIPURA
The former Princely state of Tripura was ruled by Maharajas of Manikya dynasty.
It was an independent administrative unit under the Maharaja during the British
rule in India. Tripura merged with the Indian Union in September 1947.
Best time to visit: It is best to avoid the Monsoon season as Tripura receives
heavy rainfall. The best time to visit the state is between October to May when
the weather is pleasant to enjoy sightseeing and touring.
